How to Deal with the Shortage in Pilots

Recently, airlines are experiencing a huge problem in finding enough number of pilots. One of the contributing factors of this problem is that the instructors in various aviation schools worldwide end up discouraging their students on how they will not secure jobs after school.

Pilots usually do a very hectic task but their pay does not conform to what they do and therefore end up getting discouraged as no one can stand doing lots of work while getting nothing out of it. Usually, many people expect growth in whatever thing they are associated with and they, therefore, find it boring staying in an environment where everything remains the same way as the found it and therefore leave to find a better place where they can experience growth.

There has been a recent case of forcing pilots to retire at a certain age which was not the case during early times and this makes many people lose interest in being pilots. The number of students in schools pursuing a course concerning piloting is very minimal according to statistics and this becomes a threat to the availability of pilots.

Companies made a great mistake by reducing the number of schedules available for traveling regionally as they greatly contributed to shortage.
The costs associated with pilot training are so huge and they end up driving many people away from that sector especially those who are unable to pay the money. There’s a way that aircraft users are really suffering due to lack of pilots.

First, they are being highly charged even when travel just over a short distance. Since there arose a shortage in pilots available, a lot of delays have been experienced in airports and even to the extent of some travels being canceled and this greatly affects peoples plans. Pilot shortage causes the number of instructors available in airlines.

Those students pursuing a course in pilots are proud about the condition right now as they are sure that they will easily secure jobs once they are done with school. Solutions concerning pilot shortage need to be figured out. There has to be a match between the number of pilots needed and those available for hire.

Initial problems should be solved to ensure that does not become a concern in future. Sponsorship programs need to be implemented to ensure those enrolled complete their education and this solves the shortage. Training schools should also introduce an initiative on finding out how to reduce their tuition fees to make it at least favorable for their students and even encourage many more to join.
